QUETTA: In line with the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Customs Quetta launched a crackdown on warehouses, in Kuchlak area, housing smuggled goods and recovered miscellaneous goods worth Rs80 million.
Collector MCC Preventive Irfan Javed passed information to Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar regarding presence of large quantity of smuggled goods in Kuchlak area. These goods were to be transported to inner country through buses and trucks.
Deputy Collector Akbar Jan coordinated with FC and civil administration, and formed a team comprising Superintendent Tariq Sultan, Inspectors Shahzad Akhtar, Salahuddin Khoso and Arif Dotani to conduct the raids.
The seized goods include foreign origin cloth, auto parts, tea, tyres, cigarettes and two tractors.
