KARACHI: A constitution petition filed by importer of tyres was adjourned till Nov 16 by custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh here.

The bench was hearing a petition filed by Imdadullah represented by Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate who sought implementation of Order in Original. The ONO was in favor of the  petitioner/importer whose tyres were taken away by the custom officials during an alleged raid against smuggled goods.

A counsel for respondent Pakistan Custom told the bench comprising Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar and Justice Agha Faisal that the department is filing an appeal before the Special Customs Appellate Tribunal.

The bench after this statement adjourned further proceedings till Nov 16 seeking a written reply from the respondent department.
