ISLAMABAD: A division bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday heard a Special Customs Reference Application (SCRA) filed by Pakistan Customs, Appraisement, East and fixed Oct 27 as next date of hearing.
According to details Al-Saudia Enterprises imported a consignment of artificial jewelry and filed the goods declaration on the basis of Valuation Ruling 1007/2017. The customs officials relying on an Indian website filed a case of mis-declaration on ground that lesser value was declared by the importer.
The petitioner company filed the appeal before the Special Customs Appellate Tribunal which ruled in favor of the appellant company.
The customs challenged the decision before Islamabad High Court in a SCRA which was heard on Tuesday. Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate represented the importer. The bench after initial hearing fixed Oct 27 as date for a final hearing.
