KARACHI: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi is pursuing a rigorous anti-smuggling drive in line with the directives of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Last week I&I seized Betel Nuts with dumper truck, Land Cruiser V8 tampered, Whey Milk Powder, etc total worth Rs.32.887 million.
In another operation, I&I impounded one container loaded with Betel Nuts with long vehicle, Prado Jeep, six other non-custom-paid vehicles including Honda Reborn worth millions.
Moreover, Anti Smuggling Wing of Customs Intelligence, Karachi seized 62 tons of Betel Nuts, Irani Diesel 30,000 liters valuing Rs59.2 million.
Further, 12 non-custom-paid vehicles valuing Rs40 million and miscellaneous goods worth Rs5 million were also seized in the last week.
Director Karachi Yaqoob Mako has advised his staff led by Additional Director Rana Tasleem and Deputy Director Tauseef Gorchani to tighten the vigilance, and curb the smuggling.
