Peshawar Customs seizes smuggled goods worth Rs75 million

PESHAWAR: Anti-smuggling Unit (ASU), D.I. Khan region of MCC E&C, Peshawar carried out a couple of operations with the assistance of DI Khan Police during past few days and seized smuggled goods worth Rs75 million.

The seized goods include Irani Diesel (50,000 Liters); Cigarettes (2450 sticks); Almonds without shells (1080 KG); Pan masala (9 bags); Dry milk (19 bags); Dried Chillies (7200 KG); Peanuts without shells (8600 KG); Black Cardamom (700 KG); Tyres and other goods.

In addition to above mentioned goods, two offending vehicles, one Oil tanker, NCP Toyota Premio Car, Model 2006 and NCP Toyota Vitz car Model 2003 have also been seized.

It may be mentioned here that Collector Peshawar Khaleel Yousfani has advised the ASU led by Additional Collector Khial Muhammad and Deputy collector Yawar Nawaz to further tighten the grip on smuggling.
