KARACHI: Member Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Muhammad Javed Ghani (BS-22) of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) is assigned additional charge of Chairman FBR for a period of three months or till the appointment of regular incumbent.
Chairperson Nausheen Amjad has been posted as Secretary National Heritage and Culture Division with immediate effect.
An official said transfer of Nausheen Amjad and posting of JAved Ghani as Chairperson FBR in such ad hoc basis was quite suspicious. the official said there were no candidates available to fill the vacancy and Javed Ghani had to be given the additional charge.
Nausheen Amjad had assumed the office of Chairperson FBR following Shabbar Zaidi.
