KARACHI: On the instructions of Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Abdul Rasheed Shaikh, Director Karachi Yaqoob Mako has dissolved the Special Investigation Unit (SIU).
All the officiating Superintendents including Dost Muhammad and Fakhar Shah have been sent back to their original designation of Appraiser Officer in the R&A branch.
Dost Muhammad will also work as Intelligence Officer in major cases instituted by the SIU.
All SIU staff is posted at R&A Branch, while Intelligence Offices and Appraising Officers and R&A Branch are advised to report directly to Deputy Director R&A, until a regular Superintendent is appointed.
All cases including investigation being pursued by SIU would now be looked after by R&A Branch.
