KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Mahmood A Khan referred a dispute over PCT heading to Classification Committee concerned while ordered shifting of goods to CPF bond.

The bench earlier heard a counsel from Franklin Law Associates who maintained that petitioner Redox Private Limited is importer of Iron Oxide used in oil fields and declared PCT heading 2828.1010. The lab of Pakistan Customs also confirmed the goods in dispute but West Collectorate is adamant over applying PCT heading 3208.4990. If the respondents still questions the PCT declared then importer request for declaring it a frustrated cargo as per request of the supplier and may be allowed to be re-exported.

The bench after hearing the sides referred the case to the Classification Committee concerned while also ordered shifting of another container to the CPF bond till decision by the Adjudicating authority.
