KARACHI: Sharejeel Jamal of U Trade Logistics has approached the authorities requesting forensic audit of WeBOC system and clearance through green channel, as loopholes in the system and corruption on part of Customs officials is causing huge revenue loss to the national exchequer.
Jamal said that WeBOC system had several faults adding the system was developed by an illegal company PRAL with the help of corrupt Customs officials. He said WeBOC system was rolled out without having system audit, which was causing loss to national exchequer.
He said corrupt officers and officials were causing hurdles for law abiding Customs agents and traders.
