KARACHI: The immediate release of 10 Prime Movers was ordered subject to furnishing of fresh PSI verification certificate by an appellate bench of High Court of Sindh.
The bench earlier heard Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen Adovcate, counsel for petitioner Rising Sun Construction Company which challenged the detention of the prime mover by the Pakistan Customs on ground that these were of older model.
The counsel relied on a number of judgment by High Court as well as Supreme Court of Pakistan particularly in a petition filed by Tahir Construction Company and said that apex court has held that letters from the Hino company, manufacturer of the said vehicles is of no value. She said that her case is covered under these case laws.
The bench after a detailed hearing while disposing of the petition ordered the Pakistan Customs to release the vehicles immediately on furnishing of fresh PSI Verification.
