KARACHI: The importers, clearing agents and other accused booked in an alleged case of smuggling of miscellaneous goods in the garb of old used (Lunda) clothes were asked by a customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) to join investigations.

The bench was hearing four different petitions pertaining to identical FIR filed by Muhammad Aslam,  Muhammad Ahsan, United Marine Agency and Qaiser Abbas who sought  release of items detained. As the matter was taken up, custom officials appearing with their counsel including Khalid Rajpar Advocate submitted that while court ordered no harassment or no arrest, the petitioners taking advantage of the order are not cooperating in the investigations.

The bench comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Mahmood A Khan while adjourning further proceedings for four weeks ordered the accused named in the FIRs to join the investigations.
