KARACHI: A forthwith removal of hold on consignments was ordered by a customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh while hearing three identical petitions filed by Messrs A.K. International, Samad Enterprises and Iqbal & Sons.
Earlier a counsel from Franklin Law Associates representing the petitioners said that court has ordered provisional release after lab test but the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations is interfering in the release of the consignments. It was submitted that differential amount has been paid through cheques which were duly received by the respondents yet the hold is in place.
The bench taking exception ordered forthwith removal of the ban placed allegedly by the DIT while fixing Nov 13 as next date of hearing.
