KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan ordered release of textile fabric which was put on hold by Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations.
The bench heard a counsel from Franklin Law Associates appearing for A.K International and Samad Enterprises who submitted that a public notice was issued in respect of the consignments in dispute while lab tab was also conducted. He submitted that respondents are asking for payment of charges and differential or in the alternative, petitioners have to wait for a month.
The counsel said that petitioners are ready to secure the differential amount to the satisfaction of custom officials if consignments are released.
The bench allowed the request and ordered release of the consignments if differential amount is paid by the petitioners.
