BEIJING: At this year’s GITEX Technology Week, Huawei – a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) – will preview how the deeper integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as 5G ecosystem development is helping businesses to stay connected in a digitally-driven world. Huawei’s exhibition will be held under the theme ‘Building a Fully Connected, Intelligent World’ located at Stand Z2-A10 in Za’abeel Hall 2.

Within this theme, Huawei will focus on end-to-end solutions and global case studies revolving around ‘Advance Intelligence’ – how AI enables an intelligent world – and ‘5G, Gear Up’ – how 5G provides infinite possibility for connectivity.

As more companies have come to realize the value of AI, Huawei is demonstrating how AI is enabled by the latest state-of-the-art chipset and used in new products such as campus and data center networks, storage and data center facilities, cloud, and CCTV. The company is also highlighting how these come to life across a range of industry applications – from energy to transportation, fintech, smart cities, and government. In addition to on-site technology demos, real-world case studies from Huawei regional and global customers will highlight the evolution of the company’s full-stack, all-scenario AI portfolio, which was originally unveiled at GITEX 2018. These capabilities are now making AI more inclusive, affordable, effective, and reliable for everyone.

According to Huawei’s own ‘Global Industry Vision 2025 report’, global data volumes are predicted to increase from 32.5 ZB in 2018 to 180 ZB in 2025, with enterprise demand for AI computing power doubling every three months and adoption rising to 80% by 2025.As a result, organizations are now seeking a means to access the full computing power of AI through easy-to-use platforms that weave intelligence into the cloud, network edge, or an individual device. In parallel, GITEX comes at a critical point as large-scale 5G network launches are now imminent. Visitors will benefit from Huawei’s unparalleled expertise in the 5G arena having already secured more than 50 commercial 5G contracts while shipping more than 200,000 base stations worldwide.

Charles Yang, President of Huawei Middle East, said: “We are building a fully connected, intelligent world. When many people think of Huawei, they think connections. It’s true we have been investing in connectivity for the past 30 years, but our work doesn’t stop there. Both connections and computing are key – they’re inseparable. Today this combination is delivering more advanced intelligence across every touch point of the digital economy, and is being accelerated with the launch of 5G networks. As leaders in both AI and 5G technologies, GITEX visitors will be able to see how Huawei is working to bring digital to every person, home and organization.”

In parallel to the main GITEX exhibition, Huawei will be hosting its Huawei Middle East Innovation Day 2019 on October 7th. The event will include three sessions: a 5G Ecosystem Conference under the title “5G, Gear Up”; an AI Conference under the theme “Advance Intelligence”, and a “Huawei Developer Day Dubai 2019” session which is focused on building a better ecosystem.

HUAWEI Mobile Services also invites all local partners and developers to the Huawei Developer Day Dubai 2019 to discuss building a better ecosystem together. That will include sharing Huawei’s ecological construction strategy and launching the Shining-Star Program, which has invested USD$1 billion in resources to provide comprehensive support for developers, create a smart mobile service innovation ecosystem, help partners to create digital innovation in full scenario, encourage developers to access Huawei’s open capabilities and services, and promote developers’ services in the marketing segment.
