KARACHI: In line with the instructions of Advisor FTO Quetta Justice (R) Nadir khan Durani, MCC Preventive launched a crackdown on fuel stations housing and selling smuggled Iranian diesel in the suburb of Quetta Chaman Road along with local police.

Despite resistance by station owners and their associates, more than 4 fuel stations were dismantled. Collector MCC Preventive Dr. Iftikhar made it clear the action was initiated on the directives of Advisor FTO, which would continue in future too.

Dr. Iftikhar has formed two teams each headed by Deputy Collector Asim Rehman and Deputy Collector Abdul Qudoos to carry on the operation. Additional Collector Jameel Balloch is supervising the campaign.

In another development, MCC Quetta seized Rs130 million worth of foreign origin non custom paid goods betel nuts and vehicles, diesel, tyres, cloth cigarettes, currency, gutka and other goods during the month of June 2019.
