KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan on Thursday suspended a recovery issued by Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) to Messers Kohisar Enterprises.
The SRB issued a notice of recovery amounting to rupees 60 crore 79 lacs against services provided by the company which is basically a goods transporter. The notice was issued by the Assistant Commissioner, Unit 23, under section 23, 30 43 and 52 of the Sindh Services Act 2011.
Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate appearing for the petitioner company submitted that the petitioner company has already filed an appeal before the Commissioner Appeals II which is pending hence, the operation of the notice be stayed till decision in the appeal.
The bench after hearing initial arguments and documents including memo of appeal before the appellate authority stayed the recovery process till decision in the appeal.
