KARACHI: The Federal Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved on Friday an increase in the prices of petroleum products.
Petrol, after an increase of Rs9, will be sold at Rs108.42 per litre, according to Express News.
Similarly, the rate of high speed diesel was increased by Rs4.89. It will now be available at Rs122.32 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had recommended the federal government to increase prices of petroleum products by up to 15% for May, following fluctuation in global oil prices.
The decision, however, was deferred by the cabinet on Tuesday, and the matter was referred to the ECC for further deliberation.[the_ad id=”31605″]
