KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Friday ordered Karachi Chemicals Private Limited, petitioner to pay amount mentioned in the show cause notice issued by custom authorities.
According to the petitioner, the Directorate of Intelligence, Pakistan Customs is denying release of the imported consignment.
Haider Ali Shaikh advocate appearing for the respondent DIT submitted that petitioner were charged for filing misdeclaration and a contravention was also made against the petitioner company. He submitted that DIT has no objection to release of goods if the petitioner pays the amount raised in the show cause notice.
The court accepting the plea by the customs side ordered the petitioner to pay the amount as mentioned in the show cause notice while deferring further proceedings till April 26.
