NEW DELHI: Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has reported its highest ever domestic quarterly steel production and sales in Q4 FY 2018-19. The company registered a record crude steel production of 1.51 MT (Million Tonnes) and robust sales of 1.45 MT during the quarter January–March 2019.

The quarterly steel production saw a 23% growth during Q4 FY 2019, while the quarterly steel sales record a rise of 21% on a quarter-on-quarter basis.

“We’re thrilled to report another excellent quarter” Naushad Akhter Ansari, Joint Managing Director, JSPL said, “In the fourth quarter, we continued the momentum. With the ramp up in production at Angul, we are confident of further accelerating the growth momentum, both in production and sales”

While congratulating all the employees for achieving this important milestone, Mr. Ansari said, “This is the result of hard work and dedication of the entire team who have shown resilient character to excel in challenging times.” The quarterly production and sales in Q4 of previous fiscal stood at 1.26 MT and 1.18 MT respectively.
