KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Abdul Malik Gaddi on Thursday ordered provisional release of a consignment of shoe imported from China by petitioner G.S. Corporation.[the_ad id=”31605″]The petitioner filing the goods declaration mentioned the value of US Dollar 1.5 per unit.
The custom authorities disputing the same assessed the goods on higher side which was questioned in a review application before the departmental authority.
The authority upheld the assessment made by the Principal Appraiser. Aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner company filed the instant petition through Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate. The bench after a detailed hearing while issuing notice to the respondents including Model Custom Collectorate of Port Muhammad Bin Qasim allowed provisiona release of the imported items.
