Prime Mover case hearing on March 08

KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) fixed March 8 for hearing a petition pertaining to ten Hino prime movers.

Rising Sun Construction company filed the petition against detention of the consignments by Model Customs Collectorate, Appraisement, East on ground that these were older than permissible limit of three years.

The collectorate earliersent a letter to the Hino Pakistan, seeking clarification/ authentication of the model. The Hino Pakistan referred the matter to the Hino, Japan.

The petitioner company filing the constitution petition through Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate submitted that the imported items were accompanied with Pre Shipment Inspection (PSI) Certification and in the presence of PSI, any other certification, clarification or authentication of model would be unlawful.

As the counsel appearing for the respondent collectorate was not in attendance, the bench put of further proceedings till March 08, 2019.[the_ad id=”32940″]
