French businessmen visiting Pakistan in April to forge ties
PARIS: MEDEF International, the French Business Confederation, will be visiting Pakistan with a large delegation of French businessmen in April this year to forge business and investment ties, says a press release received from Paris here today. This was disclosed by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque while speaking at a dinner which he hosted for the board members of the Association of Friends of Pakistan held at the Embassy of Pakistan. The ambassador briefed the Association board members about the current status of Pakistan-France bilateral relations and hoped that the Association of Friends of Pakistan will prove to be an effective forum to strengthen the existing friendly relations and to facilitate in further improving people to people contact. While speaking on the occasion Mrs. Fredrika Sundberg, the President of the Association said that Pakistan was a great country which with its strategic location, hardworking people and rich and diverse cultural heritage had a good potential to become a developed country of the world. She said that the Association had drawn a comprehensive plan including launching of its own independent website, organizing conferences and exhibitions to develop friendly and productive ties between Pakistan and France and to promote Pakistan as a modern and progressive country. The Association of Friends of Pakistan launched last year draws its members from diverse sectors of French Civil Society including diplomacy, business, fashion industry, academia, arts and media.
