KARACHI: Anti-smuggling Organization (ASO) of MCC Preventive Karachi has seized smuggled goods in two separate operations worth Rs14.8 million.[the_ad id=”32940″]Information was received through Deputy Director Muhammad Faisal regarding movement of smuggled diesel. Subsequently, the ASO staff detained one 12 wheeler truck at Moachko Choke Point and recovered 14,400 liters smuggled diesel worth Rs1.296million concealed in the said truck. Tentative value of the vehicle is R 5.0 million.
Moreover, in pursuance of actionable intelligence, ASO staff intercepted a passenger bus at Moachko choke point and recovered smuggled goods after dismantling concealment. Goods seized include tyres of assorted sizes, cigarettes, assorted cloth and betel nut worth Rs1.547 million. Tentative value of the bus (Al Haris Coach) is estimated at Rs7.0 million.
