KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh hearing a petition filed by Orago Trix against imposition of tax at import stage ordered that interim stay against recovery of additional tax as ordered in main petition 1089 0f 2016 be applicable to this petition too.
The petitioner company imported Phosphoric acid upon which custom officials imposed additional tax of 3 per cent at import stage. The counsel for petitioner told the bench that the case of petitioner is identical to the cases on similar law point and hence the petitioner be also given the same concession.
The bench tagging the same with main petition ordered that interim stay will be applicable to Orago Trix too.
