KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh on Thursday issued notices to custom officials for Jan 11 in a petition filedby Shaheen Autmotives seeking compliance of a judgment passed earlier in their favor.
The petitioner maintained that court has ordered release of the consignment but respondent Chief Collector Customs instead issued a public notice transcending his powers. It was further argued that steel coils can be termed primary or secondary only after lab test, hence respondents are liable to implement the order of the court passed in favor of the petitioner.
The bench after hearing while repeating notice sought compliance report by Jan 11.
