KARACHI: Founder of Jamals Group Muhammad Arshad Jamal has been elected Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCI) for the term 2019 to represent Customs agents’ fraternity in the country.

Chairman All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) Chaudry Amjad lauded the election of Arshad Jamal as Vice President FPCCI and expressed hope that Jamal would play his due role for the betterment of Customs agents’ fraternity in Pakistan. Chaudry Amjad said it was for the first time that a representative of Customs agents got selected on FPCCI.

Muhammad Arshad Jamal, who is a leading businessman/service provider and running his organization since 1991. A renowned leader of custom clearing agent community, entered into the profession of service sector in 1983. After untiring exertion of eight years, he attained a license as ‘Customs Agent’ from the then Central Board of Revenue (CBR) by the name and title of M/s Jamal Associates in 1991, he succeeded to build up a thriving business entity and also prove himself as a known leader of custom clearing agent community.

He has been in trade politics since 1995 and served for the business community on different positions at Customs Agents Associations and from the platform of FPCCI. At the moment, he is chairing Supreme Council of APCAA and FPCCI Standing Committee on “Customs”. as well in elections of APCAA 2018-2019, he has been elected unopposed as Senior Vice Chairman.

Leading businessmen, trade leaders and officials from different government and semi government functionaries widely acknowledge his services and achievements for trade. He has been nominated and awarded FPCCI Achievement Award in two consecutive years (2016 & 2017).
