KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Tuesday allowing a petition filed by Balaji Enterprises represented by Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate ordered restoration of Sales Tax Registration.
The bench also issued notices to the respondents including Commissioner, Inland Revenue, Zone 3 to submit compliance report by Jan 14.
According to details, the respondents demanded payment of Additional Value Added Tax and later issued a show cause to the petitioner. The petitioner claimed exemption on ground that petitioner provides services to the agriculture sector, therefore exempted.
In April 2018, the respondents withdrew all proceedings against the petitioner company but they failed to restore the Sales Tax Registration.
The bench today hearing the petition, allowed the same asking the respondents to restore t he registration of petitioner company.
