KARACHI: MCC Quetta has launched a fresh crackdown against non-duty-paid vehicles and recovered dozens of smuggled vehicles.

On the directives of Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) MCC Quetta launched a fresh crackdown against non-customs paid vehicles and recovered dozen of luxurious non-customs paid smuggled vehicles. Police also assisted Customs authorities.
Collector Quetta Ashraf Ali formed special anti smuggling teams under the supervision of Additional Collector Zubair Shah and Deputy Collector Maqbool Baloch to follow the directives of FTO.

At Air Port Road Quetta, where show rooms housing smuggled vehicles are situated, was the target of crackdown. Deputy Collector Customs Maqbool Baloch along with Superintendent Maqsood Durrani, Police officers and inspectors of Customs raided the said show rooms and recovered dozens of luxurious non-customs paid vehicles.

This smuggled vehicles mafia is consisted of unscrupulous elements taking the advantage of meager staff of Customs, vast area of province and annexed two borders with Iran and Afghanistan spread on thousands of miles.
Collector Ashraf Ali has appreciated ADC Zubair Shah and DC Maqbool Baloch along with the rest of team. Superintendents Maqsood Durrani , Abdul Razaq Inspectors Shahzad Akhtar , Naseer Shaheen, Mohammad Aslam Solungi ,Jameel Kakar , Ghulam Hussain Khoso, Yousaf Notezai, Ahmed Nawaz Zehri, Masroor Mangle were among the raiding team.
