KARACHI: Anti-smuggling organization (ASO) of MCC Preventive Karachi has seized large quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs6.9 million along with the vehicles worth Rs7.5 million.
MCC Preventive has been quite efficient against movement of smuggled goods and made several cases lately.
Information was received to Deputy Collector Muhammad Faisal about the movement of smuggled goods. Strict vigilance was kept to foil the attempts.
Subsequently, large quantity of smuggled goods including foreign origin cigarettes, chewing tobacco and used clothing were recovered from a container lying at a warehouse in Landhi, Karachi. The value of the seized goods is Rs5.35 million while the value of container and trailer is Rs2.5 million.
Moreover, ASO MCC Preventive, Karachi seized a dump-truck at Moachko Choke Point and recovered 17,500 liters high speed diesel (HSD) oil worth Rs1.5 million and value of dump-truck is Rs5.0 million.
