KARACHI: Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) has redistributed the work amongst Inland Revenue Audit Officers, Principal Appraisers, Superintendents, Appraising Officers and Inspectors of the Directorate of Post Clearance Audit Karachi with immediate effect.

On the directives of Director General Wasif Memon, Director PCA Nadeem Memon has setup an Audit Hall and work has been distributed among the officials accordingly for continuous audit. Additional Director Syed Naeem Akhtar, Deputy Directors Rana Aftab and Mahwish Shah played an instrumental role in developing the audit hall and assigning expert officials to the audit of their respective groups.

It may be mentioned here that PCA, Internal Audit and IOCO are faced with severe shortage of assessment officers, as none of the officials are willing to serve at these directorates.  An official suggested that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) should make it mandatory for all the officials to serve at these under-staffed directorates in rotation.

It may be mentioned here that PCA was a dormant directorate, but former Director Gul Rehman revived this directorate and Wasif Memon even improved it further.
