KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation Hyderabad has seized 26 luxury vehicles worth hundreds of millions of rupees in last six months.
Director Hyderabad Fazal Anser had advised Additional Director Ali Zaman Gardezi to keep strict vigil on the movement of non-duty paid vehicles. Deputy Director Shah Faisal Saho and his team led by Principle Appraiser Irshad Shah impounded 26 luxury vehicles smuggled into the country in a record period of six months.
Smuggling is a mega business, and car smuggling is a big part if this illegal business. Every year thousands of cars worth millions are smuggled across the border. Pakistan has some sensitive borders from where cars are smuggled into the Pakistani territory through various means.
