KARACHI: Justice Irfan Saadat Khan of High Court of Sindh deciding a special criminal bail appeal filed by one Muhammad Akbar admitted him to protective bail against a solvent surety of rupees 200,000 while directing the accused applicant to surrender before the trial court within five days.

According to details, Preventive Collectorate officials searched a parked oil tanker and found 21,600 litre smuggled Iranian Oil. The tanker came from Quetta. No one was found in the vehicle which was impounded. The customs during investigations found out that the tanker was registered in the name of Still Constructions. The company when contacted told the investigators that vehicle used for smuggling was owned by Muhammad Akbar who was then booked by the Pakistan Customs on charge of smuggling diesel from Iran.
