KARACHI: The anti-smuggling organization (ASO) of MCC Preventive Karachi has seized large quantity of smuggled betel nut and Indian gutka worth Rs27.72 million.
Collector Preventive Dr. Iftikhar has advised his team to keep strict vigilance on the movement of smuggled goods as part of a crackdown ordered by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) against smuggling.
Information was received through Additional Collector Aamir Theim that attempts would be made to move smuggled contrabands. The ASO team under the supervision of Deputy Collector Mohammad Faisal in two separate operations seized the goods in Mauripur and Superhighway area.
