KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh giving interim relief to JR International, importer of refrigerated containers comprising of candies, chocolates etc allowed Pakistan Customs, West Collectorate to continue show cause proceedings.
The bench comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Mrs Ashraf Jahan ordered that if Order in Original comes against the importer/petitioner he would file an appeal within 10 days and if it comes in favor of the importer, the department shall release differential amount to the petitioner.
The consignment was detained by the Customs Collectorate West on ground that wrong PTC heading was mentionerd while value was also incorrect.
