KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Mrs Ashraf Jahan on Thursday restrained Income Tax Commissioner, Zone III from recovering rupees 80, 278,717 from Burhani Sindhi Catering Syndicate.
The bench hearing the sides also directed the petitioner Zahid Hussain represented by Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate to persue the appeal pending before the Commissioner Appeals IV.
The same bench also fixed March 15 deciding a case of detaining a Toyota Surf vehicle owned by petitioner Muhammad Usman Shah. The Customs earlier told the bench that the auction documents submitted by the petitioner are fake.
The counsel took the plea that the allegation of fake documents of auction was not the part of the show cause .
The same bench also ordered release of an Asphalt Paver machine on the basis of order passed by the bench a week back. Eastern Construction company filed the petition seeking release of the Asphalt Paver.
