SHC grants bail to accused in pilferage case

KARACHI: Justice Aftab Ahmed Gorar of High Court of Sindh (SHC) hearing a Special Criminal Bail Application admitted an accused Adnan to bail against a solvent surety of rupees 300,000.

The applicant accused was the driver of a vehicle destined for Sialkot dry port but was instead unloaded at Gul Plaza, Karachi.

Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations (DIT) team raided the place and arrested the accused Adnan and others namely Saif-ur-Rahman, Imran, Moiz, Junaid and Zeehsan Afzal.

Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate appearing for the applicant/accused sought bail on ground of consistency as all other accused including importer have been admitted to bail. The bench allowed the application and admitted the accused to bail against a solvent surety of Rs 300,000.
