KARACHI: A special customs court at Karachi on Wednesday allowing a request by Special Prosecutor, Pakistan Customs put off hearing of a plea for confirmation of interim bail granted to an accused/applicant Haji Aziz Khan.

The applicant/accused is represented by lawyers from Franklin Law Associates. According to details customs registered a FIR against Faiz Muhammad and Haji Aziz Khan on ground that they have smuggled 482 bales Indian grey fabric in violation of Import Policy Order 2016.

The counsel for applicant maintained in his arguments that Faiz Muhammad was granted bail after arrest after it was proved that good alleged to be smuggled one were purchased locally and the origin from China was also proven. Hence on similar grounds interim bail be confirmed.

Ashique Rana, Special Prosecutor, Pakistan Customs sought time to argue the case.

The bench allowing the request fixed Dec 12 as next date of hearing.
