KARACHI : Allowing interim relief in two identical petitions in respect of different items, an appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Arshad Hussain Khan on Thursday ordered provisional release.
The bench earlier heard counsel for petitioner Gulf Marketting International and BNM Enterprises. The petitioner expressed readiness to pay custom duty and other taxes to the Customs Department while to pay redemption fine, penalty etc with the Nazir of the SHC.
According to details, Gulf Marketing imported a consignment of Chemical Analyser while BNM imported Road Paving Machine parts.
The consignments were detained after invoices recovered from the consignment and one submitted by the importer had a huge difference of value.
