KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh taking notice of incorrect statement by a petitioner seeking release of vehicle purportedly purchased by him from a diplomatic mission ordered the counsel for petitioner to file a rejoinder.

If the petitioner fails to submit the rejoinder, Court will draw an inference, the bench said. The counsel for petitioner earlier said that petitioner is innocent as he has purchased a vehicle from a person who claimed that vehicle was auctioned by an embassy and released after payment of duty and taxes. The NOC was given by the seller after a delay of 5 years.

You have not approached the court with clean hand, the bench said expressing annoyance. The embassy has denied selling the vehicle, the bench noted  perusing the case papers submitted by the petitioner. The bench then sought rejoinder from petitioner while fixing April 24 for next hearing.
