KARACHI: THE Establishment Division has reportedly approved promotion of Tariq Pasha into Grade-22, and a notification in this regard is expected by Friday evening.
Sources said Pasha has also won the approval of Prime Minister for the office of Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Tariq Pasha (BS-21) is serving as secretary statistics division and was a likely candidate to be the Secretary Finance after the retirement of Dr. Waqar Masood. However, former Chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa was posted secretary finance.
Pasha belongs to Inland Revenue Group and will head the country’s revenue body onwards.
