KARACHI: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Sukkur has seized miscellaneous smuggled goods worth Rs1.349 million.
On the directives of Director Customs Intelligence & Investigation Feroz Alam Junejo, the ASO is keeping strict vigilance over the movement of non-duty paid and smuggled goods to the country’s markets.
The campaign is being actively pursued in South and sooner the ambit would be extended to the entire country. Smuggling is a collateral damage as it badly hurts the economy of the country while the money made from this dirty business is used to fund terrorism and anti-social elements.
Under the supervision of Assistant Director Mukhtar Sheikh, ASO Sukkur detained several smuggled goods including cigarettes, cloth, perfumes, shampoo, carpet covers, etc.
