KARACHI: Hearing two identical constitution petitions filed by one Muhammad Khan, an appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Muhammad Humayun Khan on Wednesday called comments from the Directorate of Intelligence (DIT) by Dec 22.

Ms. Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate appearing for the petitioners sought release of the vehicle Cygnus, Land Cruiser and Toyota Mark II which were taken into custody from parking of a famous mall in posh Defence area by DIT for being smuggled ones.

The counsel for petitioners submitted that the vehicles are duly registered and petitioner has the documents of purchase from a Customs auction.

The counsel for department rejected the contention on ground that documents pertaining to auction are forged and fake.

The bench after hearing the sides asked the department’s counsel for file detailed comments on or before Dec 22 along with any other documents to belie the claim of the petitioner to be an auction purchaser of the detained vehicles.
