KARACHI: The United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC) Pakistan is organizing a three-day training on “Drugs and precursors identification’ for the mid level field officers of Pakistan Coast Guards, Sindh Police, Anti-Narcotics Force, Rangers Sindh, Excise & Taxation Department and Pakistan Customs based in Karachi, Sindh.

The training is scheduled to be held from December 06-08, 2016. The sessions would highlight role of precursors in illicit manufacture of drugs; precursor chemical control in Pakistan and preventing precursor diversion and interdicting trafficking.

The training is proposed to be held at the e-learning facility of DGTR Customs, for which UNODC has sought permission of Customs to sue the said facility. The session would give a detailed view of illicit manufacture of heroin and understand chemical hazards and basic safety rules.

Director Zeba Azhar, Additional Director Rana Tasleem and Deputy Director Sheeraz Ahmed are coordinating with the UNODC Program Officer Anila Rahim in this regard.
