KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has notified that Inland Revenue Audit Officers have been upgraded to BS-18 from earlier BS-16.
The Finance Division had agreed to up-grade the post of Inland Revenue Audit Officer from BS-16 to BS-18 in Inland Revenue department under Federal Board of Revenue.
The development came in pursuance of the judgement of Lahore High Court, which was upheld by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and as per the recommendations of Establishment Division.
The up-grading of Inland Revenue Audit Officers from BS-16 to BS-18 is subject to amendment in the Recruitment Rules and that the appointment to the upgraded post is made in the manner prescribed by Establishment Division.
