KARACHI: MCC Peshawar has foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics at Torkham border and seized the booty worth Rs6.0 million.
Collector MCC Peshawar Qurban Ali has issued instructions to the formation to keep strict vigilance on the movement of contrabands.

Customs staff Torkham including Deputy Collector Fazli SHakoor, Deputy Superintendent Azizur Rehman, Inspectors Moosa Khan and Zafar and Ali Madad seized over 60 kg of high quality Afghan origin charas and 3 kg opium from an empty truck coming from Afghanistan.

The contraband goods were skillfully concealed in 2 spare tyres of the truck. Market value of the seized goods is worth Rs6 million. An FIR has been lodged and investigations are under way.
