Customs team going on US Embassy funded study tour

KARACHI: A team of four senior Customs officers is going to USA on a US Embassy funded study tour.

A team of four senior Customs Officers comprising of Collector Islamabad Dr Arslan Subactageen, Collector Preventive Dr. Zulfiqar Younas, Director Customs I&I Quetta Irfan ur Rehman and Additional Director Intelligence & Investigation Islamabad Abdul Waheed Marwat are going to visit San Diego USA for seven days.

The team has been selected by FBR keeping in view the experience and service profile of these officers.

This study tour is a fully funded program by US Embassy. The aim of this program is to visit and study Customs Border Management of US Customs and Border Agency. The team during their visit will interact with Department of Homeland Security, Investigation and US Customs & Immigration Departments. They will visit US-Mexico Border Point in San Diego and inspect the clearance of cargo and passengers facilitation.

Further, they will attend briefings on Customs Border Management at different offices of US Customs. The team will also visit practical demonstration of US Customs in the sea. US Customs Speed Boats will participate in this exercise.
