KARACHI: A divisional bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi adjourned hearing of a Special Customs Reference Application (SCRA) in respect of a Wrangler Jeep till Oct 13 when other identical matters are fixed for hearing.
Earlier Ms. Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate appeared for the applicant Abdul Rahman while Kashif Nazeer advocate represented the Intelligence and Investigation, Karachi. The SCRA filed by I&I, Anti Smuggling assails orders of the Special Customs Appellate Tribunal dated 12-8-2015 which allowed the appeal filed by Abdul rehman who claims ownership of the jeep and maintains that its chassis was not tampered and it is not a smuggled vehicle. The vehicle in dispute, Wrangler Jeep was confiscated by the Pakistan Customs I&I, AS from outside a shop of Defence area.
