KARACHI: Customs I&P Peshawar has lodged an FIR against Yasir Khan s/o Khusro Pervez as he had in his possession a smuggled/non-duty paid vehicle and the chassis number was found tempered.
According to details, on information received from Deputy Director I&I that a non-duty paid Toyota Corolla car would be smuggled to Punjab via Peshawar.
In pursuance of the information, Assistant Collector Furqan Mehmood formed a team headed by Superintendent Niaz Mohammad.
The suspected vehicle was spotted and was brought to the office of Customs I&P. The scrutiny of the data and chemical examination found that the chassis number of the vehicle tempered with and the original chassis number was not in the list of vehicles imported in the country.
Hence, it is established that the said Toyota Corolla was smuggled and non-duty paid. FIR is lodged and investigations are underway.
