KARACHI: The Directorate General of Valuation has issued new Valuation Guideline for Kraft Paper Bag.
According to a letter by VDB (Valuation Data Base) wing all the formations were informed that in pursuance of decision to develop data base for different items, an exercise was undertaken in reference to Kraft Paper Bag. On the basis of clearance data analysis It was found that Kraft Paper Bag to be assessed under PCT heading 4819.3000 was being assessed at different values and certain transactions were on very low sides.
The letter issued by Ch.Rizwan Bashir Kalair after an extensive exercise which include analysis of international market prices etc the new value of Kraft Paper bag was determined to be US $ 1.40 per kilogram (Origin Srilanka-Customs Value C&F).
It adds that values are however for reference/guidance only and final assessment may be made considering other factors which have bearing on the custom value.
