KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Muhammad Iqbal Mahar on Wednesday adjourned hearing of a number of Special Custom Reference Applications (SCRA’s) in respect of Soap and Soap Noodles.

Masood Siraj advocate represented the applicants. The bench however expressed inability to proceed with the matter on ground that documents/record relating to controversy regarding valuation of the Soap Noodles and finished product. The custom questions the valuation on ground that how the finished product could be less in price than noodles.

The bench asked the counsel for Customs Valuation to produce the relevant record, orders by adjudicating forum, tribunal, relevant sections, laws and case laws on which applicant sides is relying.

The bench fixed May 25 as new date of hearing.
